PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device which assembles flexible electrodes and in which the flexible electrodes are easily adapted, foldable, and has a very thin outer shape with respect to minimally-invasive procedure and a wide electrode surface area that can be used for ablation, mapping, perception and/or stimulation of a tissue site.SOLUTION: A tissue electrode assembly 105 has a membrane configured to form an expandable body that can be deployed in a patient. The assembly further includes a flexible circuit which is positioned on the surface of the membrane and is provided with at least one base substrate layer 52, at least one insulation layer, and at least one flat conducting layer 96. A electrically-conductive electrode 6 covers at least a part of the flexible circuit and a part of the membrane surface that is not covered with the flexible circuit, wherein the electrically-conductive electrode is foldable upon itself with the membrane to a delivery configuration having a diameter suitable for minimally-invasive delivery of the assembly to the patient.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1BCOPYRIGHT: (C)2019,JPO&INPIT
