PURPOSE: A method for improving endoscopic images using an RGB channel permutation image process and an apparatus thereof are provided to improve images of an endoscope easily through software without an additional narrow beam imaging filter, by substituting original RGB channel values of each pixel comprising an image obtained through a white light endoscope with different values. CONSTITUTION: An image acquisition unit acquires images of a photographing target using a white light endoscope(S310). A channel permutation unit rearranges the RGB channel values, by substituting an R value, a G value and a B value of RGB channels of each pixel comprising the acquired image with each other(S320). A display unit reconstructs the image with pixels whose RGB channel values are rearranged, and displays the reconstructed image on a screen(S330). [Reference numerals] (AA) Start； (BB) End； (S310) Acquire images of a photographing target using a white light endoscope； (S320) Rearrange the RGB channel values, by substituting an R value, a G value and a B value of RGB channels of each pixel comprising the acquired image with each other； (S330) Reconstruct the image with pixels whose RGB channel values are rearranged and display the reconstructed image on a screen본 발명은 RGB 채널 치환 영상처리를 이용한 내시경 영상강화 방법 및 장치에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따르면, 백색광의 내시경을 이용하여 촬영 대상물의 이미지를 획득하는 단계, 및 상기 획득된 이미지를 구성하는 복수의 픽셀들 별로 상기 픽셀이 갖는 RGB 채널 값인 R 값, G 값, B 값을 서로 치환하여, 상기 RGB 채널 값을 재정렬하는 단계를 포함하는 RGB 채널 치환 영상처리를 이용한 내시경 영상강화 방법 및 장치를 제공한다.상기 RGB 채널 치환 영상처리를 이용한 내시경 영상강화 방법 및 장치에 따르면, 백색광 내시경을 통해 얻어진 영상을 구성하는 각 픽셀의 원래의 RGB 채널 값을 서로 다른 값으로 치환하는 것에 의해, 별도의 NBI 필터 없이 단순히 소프트웨어적으로 내시경의 영상 강화를 손쉽게 실현할 수 있는 이점이 있다.
