PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planter which can simplify watering works and pot-exchanging works, can reduce loads added to environments as much as possible, when the planter is scraped, and can be scraped and buried in soil. SOLUTION: This planter comprising a planter body capable of storing a constant amount of water such as rain water, a rack plate having pot-putting places and received and supported at a prescribed position in the planter body or a lid having pot-putting places and fit to the upper opening of the planter body, and water-absorbing materials whose at least each one end is immersed in the water in the planter body and whose each one portion is extended onto the pot-putting portion is characterized in that the rack plate or lid having the pot-putting portions has insertion holes for vertically inserting the water-absorbing materials into the rack plate or lid therethrough, protecting walls or bulkheads for surrounding the peripheries of the pot-putting portions, and many holes formed in the pot-putting portions, and that at least the rack plate or lid having the pot-putting portions are produced from a biodegradable polymer.
