An oral care product, a skin care product, or a household product, comprising a container, comprising: a first compartment containing solids or a matrix containing immobilized sparingly soluble acid or base, and a second compartment and optionally one or more additional compartments, each of which contains an inactive liquid, optionally different non-activated liquids, so that during storage the inactive liquid (s) does not come into contact with the immobilized mind a substantially soluble acid or base, but when used, an inactive liquid interacts with an immobilized moderately soluble acid or base, whereby the pH of the liquid changes so that the liquid is activated, and the change in pH activates the liquid and provides one or more of the following advantages: improved the availability of inorganic ions, increased deposition on the teeth of a complex comprising the basic amino acid and inorganic ion, enhanced activity of enzymes one or enhanced activity of the enzyme substrate, enhanced activity of the bleaching agent, a pH value more suitable for use on the skin or in the mouth, discoloration, foaming, change in taste, or change in smell. 2.
