The ultrasound imaging apparatus may: receive an input for selecting a patient in a stored patient list; determine an auxiliary information output form according to a disability type of the selected patient; executing a diagnosis process corresponding to a diagnosis item of the selected patient; and outputting in real time, in the determined auxiliary information output form, auxiliary information corresponding to a progression stage of the executed diagnosis process, wherein when the selected patient is a person with auditory disability, a sign language is determined as the auxiliary information output form.
