Provided is a support device with which the position of a member to be supported can be easily changed using one hand, said support device being provided with: at least 3 arm members which are respectively connected an operation part which is fixed to one of the ends of the arm members, and which is for changing a fixation position and a fixation member which is fixed to a side opposite a side where the operation part is fixed, and which fixes the member to be supported. Coupling parts for end parts of the arm members are used to couple adjacent arm members together such that the adjacent arm members are capable of rotating around an axial line orthogonal to axial lines of the arm members. In each of the coupling parts, a first rotational part is provided to one of the arm members, a second rotational part is provided to another of the arm members, a first rotation-inhibition member is fixed to one of the rotational parts, a second rotation-inhibition member is movably provided to another of the rotational parts, and an impelling means for impelling the second rotation-inhibition member towards an operation-part side is provided. Accordingly, by operating the operation part when the first rotation-inhibition members and the second rotation-inhibition members are in contact with each other, rotation at the coupling parts is inhibited such that all of the second rotation-inhibition members are moved simultaneously.
