PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an uncoupled fishing rod that is represented by a sweetfish rod and has a long overall length in which the fish bite can easily be felt.SOLUTION: A blank of a tip rod includes a large rigid part 3 where the rigidity is rapidly increased to the rod tip side in the middle part in the length direction, and also includes a hammerhead area 4 with a layer 11 serving as a weight at the rod tip side of the large rigid part 3, and an arm area 5 positioned between the hammerhead area 4 and the large rigid part 3 without the layer 11 serving as a weight. The hammerhead area 4 is formed into an inversely tapered shape becoming a small diameter toward the rod source side and a straight shape, and the arm area 5 is formed in a forward tapered shape becoming a large diameter toward the rod source side. The blank of the tip rod is configured such that two tubular blanks 6 and 7 are spliced integrally and firmly. The large rigid part 3 is configured by a joint part of the two tubular blanks 6 and 7.
