The invention relates to a modulable sports wheelchair comprising a supporting frame, a front wheel, a pair of rear wheels and a sitting cage. The supporting frame is divided into a front half-frame connecting a support for the front wheel with a frame structure carrying the rear wheels. The frame structure has at least two longitudinal sides oriented in the movement direction of the wheelchair and two transverse sides spaced and oriented in the other direction such to form the cage, that therefore takes the shape of a compartment free from internal structural elements intended to receive an athlete with an optimal position for propelling the wheelchair depending on the level and type of disability of the athlete.La invención se refiere a una silla de ruedas deportiva modulable que comprende un bastidor de soporte, una rueda delantera, un par de ruedas traseras y una jaula de asiento. El bastidor de soporte está dividido en un medio bastidor frontal que conecta un soporte para la rueda delantera con una estructura de bastidor que lleva las ruedas traseras. La estructura de bastidor tiene al menos dos lados longitudinales orientados en la dirección de movimiento de la silla de ruedas y dos lados transversales separados y orientados en la otra dirección para formar la jaula, que por lo tanto toma la forma de un compartimento libre de elementos estructurales internos destinado a recibir un atleta con una posición óptima para impulsar la silla de ruedas dependiendo del nivel y del tipo de discapacidad del atlet.
