PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording apparatus capable of reproducing a 3D endoscopic image having a three-dimensional appearance, even when a display environment of the endoscopic image at recording is different from a reproduction environment by reproduction equipment having a different reproduction method for reproducing a recorded image.SOLUTION: The image recording apparatus determines, from the information of an observation environment and the information of the display environment recorded in the recording apparatus, whether or not there is a difference between both information sets. If there is a difference only in the reproduction method, the image recording apparatus converts the reproduction method, whereas if there is a difference in a screen size etc., calculates a corresponding correction value from an adjustment table stored in a parameter storage device, so as to correct alignment and output to the reproduction equipment an output image, which reproduces a stereoscopic vision of the display environment, from the 3D image reproduced from the recording apparatus.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
