An electrosurgical instrument having a radiating tip with enhancedflexibility. In a first aspect, this is achieved byshaping the dielectric material in the radiating tip to facilitate bending ofthe radiating tip. In a second aspect, this is achieved by forminga dielectric body and outer sheath of the radiating tip as separate parts, toenable movement and flexure between the parts. By improvingthe flexibility of the radiating tip, manoeuvrability of the electrosurgicalinstrument may be improved.
