The present invention relates to a breathalyzer and, more specifically, to a breathalyzer capable of estimating the remaining life of a sensing unit. The breathalyzer capable of estimating the remaining life of a sensing unit comprises: an exhaling breath passage through which an exhaling breath flows； a sample gas chamber communicating with the exhaling breath passage； a sensing unit arranged in the sample gas chamber； and a controller. The controller includes: a sensing signal receiving unit to receive an electric signal changing over time from the sensing unit； a time detection unit to detect information about time from the electric signal received from the sensing signal receiving unit； and a remaining life estimation unit to compare a time value detected by the time detection unit and a reference value to estimate the remaining life of the sensing unit. The breathalyzer can estimate the remaining life of the sensing unit by analyzing output data of the sensing unit and thus can notify a user before the life of the sensing unit expires.
