The claimed invention further comprises a method for making a mixed culture encompassing measuring one or more enzyme activities of a group of microorganisms to form an enzyme profile for each microorganism and selecting microorganisms such that the enzyme profile of each selected microorganism is not identical to the enzyme profile of another microorganism.
