An apparatus and method is provided forsingle transfer insert placement. The apparatusreceives continuous web material and cuts a discretesection or pad from the web. The pad is then supportedon a single transfer surface. The single transfersurface then may spin the supported pad to a desiredangle and provide the pad to a receiving surface at adesired interval. The web material canbe cut todifferent insert lengths and the placement locationvaried.
