The present invention provides a hydrophilic antimicrobial film obtained by blending a NSP-silver composite and a polymer material, wherein the NSP-silver composite is obtained by subjecting an organic dispersing agent, nano silicate plates (NSP) and a solution containing silver ions to a reduction reaction. The invention also provides a hydrophilic antimicrobial dressing material, comprising a hydrophilic antimicrobial film as described above and at least one releasing layer. The invention also provides a hydrophilic antimicrobial dressing material, comprising a hydrophilic antimicrobial film as described above and a waterproof backing layer, wherein the waterproof backing layer is to cover one surface of the hydrophilic antimicrobial film.
