PURPOSE: An antibacterial composition containing sesame leaf extract is provided to suppress pathogenic bacteria and to ensure excellent antibacterial activity. CONSTITUTION: An antibacterial composition contains sesame leaf extract as an active ingredient. The sesame leaf extract is isolated using distilled water as a solvent. An hot water extract of sesame leaf is obtained by isolating at 60°C-100°C for 20 minutes to two hours in 10-30 times weight of distilled water. The antibacterial composition has an antibacterial activity against Salmonella typhimurium, Staphylococcus aureus, Listeria monocytogenes, Psendomonas aeruginosa, or Klebsilla pneumoniae. An antibacterial pharmaceutical composition, cosmetic composition, or disinfection composition contains the sesame extract as an active ingredient.본 발명은 깻잎 추출물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 항균성 조성물에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에 따른 깻잎 추출물은 뛰어난 항균 활성을 지니고 천연물 소재로 독성 및 내성이 적기에 항균성 조성물, 항균성 약학 조성물, 항균성 세정제 조성물, 항균성 화장품 조성물 및 항균성 소독제 조성물로서 유용하게 사용될 수 있다.
