Provided herein is a water- and sweat-resistant transdermal drugdelivery system for application to the skin of a mammal that comprises a patchhaving a diameter between 1 and 8 cm in length and a surface area between 4and8 cm2. Also provided are methods of producing the transdermal drug deliverysystem and methods of treatment comprising the use of the transdermal drugdelivery system.
