A surgical implant system for deployment of an expandable surgical implant. The system includes an inserter cannula having a proximate end and a distal end configured to couple with a proximate end of the implant; an inserter handle coupled to the proximate end of the inserter cannula; a central shaft disposed within the inserter cannula and coupled to the inserter handle with a threaded knob; an actuator handle assembly comprising a jack screw having a distal end coupled to the inserter handle and an actuator handle coupled to a proximal end of the jack screw; an actuation rod having a proximate end with a threaded knob coupled to the actuator handle via the jack screw and a distal end configured to couple with a distal end of the implant. Torque applied to the actuator handle converts into a linear force on the actuation rod via the power jack screw. Rotation of the actuator handle in a first direction causes the actuation rod to exert the linear force to deploy (expand) the implant disposed at the distal end of the inserter cannula.
