PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical long body having both slidability and bendability. The medical elongated body of the present invention includes a core material and a coating layer covering at least a part of the surface of the core material, and the coating layer contains organic polysilazane. In one embodiment, the core material is made of stainless steel. In one embodiment, the length of the portion where the coating layer is formed is 400 mm to 2800 mm. In one embodiment, the thickness of the coating layer is 1 μm to 2 μm.
