PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a wireless communication unit from being damaged, and to stabilize wireless communications of the wireless communication unit in a fishing reel.SOLUTION: A case member 92 made of synthetic resin in which the entire communication unit 74 is housed is attached to a side inside a protruding part 10c of a first side plate 10. Since the entire communication unit 74 is disposed inside the case member 92, the communication unit 74 is not exposed to the outside, and the communication unit 74 is hardly damaged.
