PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide novel diagnostic assays for the diagnosis of amyloidosis, in particular Alzheimer's disease, and related aspects.SOLUTION: There is provided a humanized antibody, a chimeric antibody, a single chain antibody or a diabody of the antibody, which is produced from hybridoma cell lines selected from A&bgr； 5-5-6 (ACC2923), A&bgr； 6-1-6 (ACC2924), A&bgr； 17-4-3 (ACC2925), or A&bgr； 24-2-3 (ACC2926) and can bind to an A&bgr； peptide selected from among pGlu-A&bgr；3-38, pGlu-A&bgr；3-40, pGlu-A&bgr；3-42, or pGlu-A&bgr；3-x (x is an integer between 10 and 42).
