PURPOSE: An environmentally-friendly cinerary urn for woodland burial and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to enable natural decomposition of a cinerary urn without contamination of the soil when buried with ashes in the soil. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing an environmentally-friendly cinerary urn for woodland burial is as follows. A grinding material, grain powder, a grain adhesive, and starch are prepared(S10). The grinding material, grain powder, grain adhesive, and starch are mixed at a predetermined weight ratio in a mixer and a container composition is manufactured from the mixture(S20). The container composition is press-molded at high temperatures and high pressures in a mold(S30). The molded cinerary urn is naturally dried(S40).본 발명은 화장 후 남은 유골을 미쇄하게 분쇄한 분골을 분골함에 보관시킨 상태에서 수목장 등과 같은 토양 매립형태로 분골함을 묻게 되면, 일정기간이 지난 후 분골과 더불어 자연 분해가 진행되어 자연스럽게 흙으로 돌아갈 수 있도록 한 것으로서 자연 분해 후에도 토양 오염이 발생되지 않는 친환경 수목장 분골함 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것이다.
