PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new medicine for: preventing and treating a left ventricular remodeling being phenomena such that cardiac muscle cells necrotize by being damaged by a load applied to the heart due to occlusion of coronary artery or the like, the change of forms occurs such that cardiac cell falling-off of cardiomuscular cells, thinning, extension and hypertrophy and extension of healthy part cardiomuscles, enlargement of lumen, phibrosis of interstitial tissues, following these and preventing and treating arrhythmia due to cardiomuscular cell necrosis, hypertrophy of ventricle middle partition wall and enlargement of cardiac lumen.

SOLUTION: The agent for preventing and treating the left ventricular remodeling, containing the eosinophil cationic protein (ECP) as an effective component, is provided.
