According to an embodiment of the present invention, as a laser output control method of a laser apparatus including a laser generating unit and a hand piece to emit a laser generated in the laser generating unit to a target, the laser output control method includes the steps of: measuring each distance between the target and a plurality of distance sensors by the plurality of distance sensors arranged along the circumference of one end part of the hand piece to output the laser； calculating an effective area which is a region where the target is actually irradiated with the laser, based on a distance between the distance sensor and the target； and increasing or decreasing a laser output for irradiating the effective area with the laser with preset energy density. Accordingly, the present invention can control the laser output to constantly maintain the energy density.본 발명의 일 실시예에 따르면, 레이저 생성부 및 이 레이저 생성부에서 생성되는 레이저를 타겟을 향해 조사하는 핸드피스를 구비한 레이저 장치의 레이저 출력 제어 방법으로서, 레이저가 출력되는 핸드피스의 일 단부의 둘레를 따라 배치된 복수개의 거리센서에 의해 상기 복수개의 거리센서와 타겟 사이의 각각의 거리를 측정하는 단계； 상기 거리센서와 타겟 사이의 거리에 기초하여, 타겟에 레이저가 실제로 조사되는 영역인 유효 면적을 산출하는 단계； 및 상기 유효 면적에 기설정된 에너지밀도로 레이저를 조사하기 위해 레이저 출력을 증감하는 단계；를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 레이저 출력 제어 방법이 개시된다.
