The present invention in an embodiment provides for herbal compositions used for treatment or prevention of gastrointestinal disorders. The present invention also provides for the methods of preparation and various forms of administration of the said compositions. The said compositions comprise of at least a part of Bambusa arundinacea and part of Artocarpus integrifolia. The invention also provides a process for preparing the herbal compositions which may be administered in various forms.
