PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combine harvester having an auxiliary conveying chain 57 for relaying the conveyance of the feet of reaped grain culms in between a vertical conveying chain 56 and a feed chain 5, so designed as to avoid causing the conveyance disturbance and/or spills of reaped grain culms because of enabling a relaying space not to be widely secured much as the presence of a frame 45 supporting a nipping guide member 60 standing against the auxiliary conveying chain 57 constitutes a hindrance.SOLUTION: The combine harvester has the following construction: A longitudinally long supporting frame 45 is disposed in front of the feed chain 5 at a reaping part 3 in such a way that the rear end of the frame 45 lies above the auxiliary conveying chain 57.
