In one aspect, the invention relates to a method of increasing plant growth, plant productivity, seed germination or soil quality for a dicotyledonous plant or a monocotyledonous plant, the method comprising the step of: applying to the plant a treatment agent comprising at least one plant-beneficial Burkholderia-like species.
