PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decorative block which is produced by organically binding waste tire chips, and also, glass chips, solid waste incineration ash, waste plastic small pieces, waste polystyrene foam small pieces, and/or the like together, and accordingly enables effective utilization of these waste materials as resources. SOLUTION: The production process of this decorative block comprises: using waste tire chips as a main constituent material, adding an organic or inorganic additive(s) to the waste tire chips, adding a binder to the waste tire chips containing the additive(s) and mixing them together to obtain a mixture, and subjecting the mixture to compression forming in a prescribed mold into a block.
