A pressurised container (1) contains a liquid composition to be dispensed and a propellant to pressurise the container. The container has a non-metred outlet valve at its lower end such that it is in communication with liquid in the container when the container is oriented with the valve lowermost. The valve comprises a valve stem (5) having an outlet (12) towards the bottom end communicating with an inlet as a lateral port (13) through the side of the stem, the lateral port being positioned such that it is moveable between a first position out of communication with the liquid and a second position in communication with the liquids. A resilient element (6) biases the valve element to the first position. A sealing plate (4) which surrounds the valve stem (5) and has a first seal (9) at its inner edge which seals against the valve stem, and a second seal (10) towards its outer periphery to seal against a container body to create a sealed enclosure, the sealing plate further being positioned to support the resilient element (6). An end cap (7) is fitted over the sealing plate (4) to attach the sealing plate to the container body, the end cap also being configured to retain the valve stem (5) in place.
