PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide assist bands 1 and 10 for an ED patient, which have simple structure, are easily attached and detached, and are washed without requiring time and labor.SOLUTION: Each of the assist bands 1 and 10 for an ED patient comprises a fastener 2, a ball chain 3 and a protective cover 4, wherein the fastener 2 of the assist band 1 comprises a fastener body 5 and a lock body 6, and the fastener 2 of the assist band 10 comprises a fastener body 7 and the lock body 6. By holding parts 5j and 7j provided respectively on the rear sides of base parts 5a and 7a of the fastener bodies 5 and 7, the end ball parts 3a of the ball chains 3 are hooked and the ball chains 3 are hung. By pushing and bending left and right arm parts 5b, 5e, 7b and 7e of the fastener bodies 5 and 7, the range in which left and right stop parts 5c and 5f overlap and the range in which left and right stop parts 7c and 7f overlap, are each widened, left chain hole 5d and right chain hole 5g are roughly matched with each other, and left chain hole 7d and right chain hole 7g are roughly matched with each other, and the ball chains 3 are respectively inserted into the matched holes. Thereafter, the lock bodies 6 are placed respectively near the left and right stop parts 5c, 5f, and left and right stop parts 7c, 7f, and the bend of the left and right arm parts 5b, 5e, 7b and 7e is limited.
