PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fitting holding tool for an extensible rod, capable of properly maintaining fitting force by making improvement in a fitting holding part, even when changes due to passage of time or troubles in production are produced, and to provide a fitting structure for the extensible rod.SOLUTION: The fitting holding part is mounted in the base rod 1 and is formed so as to fit and hold inner peripheral surfaces of the butt rod ends 2A and 3A of an upper base rod 2 and an upper rod 3 of the upper base rod other than the base rod. First holding parts 6 and second holding parts 7 are set erect, from the reference outer peripheral surface along the radial direction in the fitting holding part.
