The end effector can be used to stimulate a portion of the skin at the stimulus frequency. The end effector has a single point of contact or a plurality of points of contact that are couplable to the motor and the end effector is configured to contact a portion of the skin. The single point of contact is located at an offset from the center of the end effector or the plurality of points of contact are located at a target distance from each other based on the inverse of the pole frequency. When the base portion is coupled to the motor and the motor is in operation, the end effector has an oscillation frequency based on the excitation frequency.
