PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems in a practical rice transplantation work to cause the upward motion of a leveling float acting as a lift-control sensor by receiving a lifting force from a mud surface in the inclination correction work of a seedling planting apparatus by rolling control and, accordingly, the generation of lifting motion of the rice planting apparatus to cause the shallow planting of the seedling or the failure in the seedling planting. SOLUTION: The seedling transplanter is provided with a lift controlling means to control a lift driving device 28 to keep the ground pressure of a ground-contact sensor 32 of a seedling planting apparatus 25 to a prescribed level and a rolling controlling means to control a rolling driving device 60 in a manner to keep the detection value of an inclination sensor 64 to detect the lateral inclination angle of the seedling planting device 25 to a prescribed level. During the operation or during a prescribed period in and after the operation of the rolling driving device 60 by the rolling controlling means, the control of a lift controlling means to lift the seedling planting apparatus 25 by the lift driving means 28 is restricted by a controlling apparatus 51.
