An injector comprises an injector housing (102), an intraocular lens (200) disposed within said housing, said intraocular lens having first and second interconnected viewing elements (202,204), and a lens carrier (104), said lens carrier being moveable relative to said injector housing along a continuously longitudinal path from a first position in which (a) said lens carrier engages said intraocular lens (200) and (b) optical axes of said viewing elements (202,204) are substantially coincident, to a second position in which (a) one of said viewing elements (204) is forward of the other and (b) said viewing elements are at least partially compacted.
