Die Erfindung betrifft ein Hörsystem mit einer tragbaren Hörvorrichtung (HV) und ein daran gekoppeltes visuelles Ausgabegerät (VA), wobei die Hörvorrichtung (HV) zur Zuordnung eines auditiven Signals zu einer visuellen Information eingerichtet ist, wobei - abhängig von einer vorbestimmten Art der Ausgabe der visuellen Information - die Hörvorrichtung (HV) in einem ersten und/oder zweiten Modus betreibbar ist.
