PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a device which detects fine movements of a moving body in a non-contact manner.SOLUTION: In a movement detection device, a radiator 7 comprises a transmission antenna 13 which radiates a microwave, and a phase difference detector 2 comprises reception antennas 20A and B which receive the microwave. Due to change in a multipath caused by movements of fingertips of a hand placed between the transmission antenna 13 and the reception antennas 20A and B, a phase difference is generated in signals received by the reception antennas 20A and B. The phase difference detector 2 detects movements of fingertips of a hand by detecting the phase difference. The movement detection device of an embodiment 1 has high resolution for the reason that the movement detection device can detect the phase difference even when multipath change caused by fine movements is minute because the phase difference has a large value due to the microwave.
