The present invention relates to a device which measures severity and cause for sleep apnea to provide a treatment plan and a method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the device for measuring sleep apnea severity comprises: a breathing management unit injecting air to a subject and collecting a breathing parameter of the subject based on the injected air； a plurality of electrodes attached to at least one part of a chest and a neck of the subject； an electrical impedance tomography (EIT) data processing unit measuring one of current and voltage from the at least one part through the attached plurality of electrodes so as to generate image data with regard to the inside of the subject； and a control unit controlling the breathing management unit, controlling the injected air, and quantifying the generated image data and the collected breathing parameter in accordance with the controlled air so as to measure a degree of the sleep apnea severity of the subject.본 발명은 수면 무호흡 중증도 및 그 원인을 측정하여 치료 계획을 제공하는 장치 및 방법에 관한 것으로, 본 발명의 일실시예에 따르면 수면 무호흡 중증도 측정 장치는 피험자로 공기를 주입하고, 상기 주입되는 공기에 기초한 상기 피험자의 호흡 파라미터를 수집하는 호흡 관리부, 상기 피험자의 흉부와 목 중 적어도 하나의 부위에 부착되는 복수의 전극을 포함하고, 상기 부착된 복수의 전극을 통해 상기 적어도 하나의 부위로부터 전류 및 전압 중 하나를 측정하여 상기 피험자 내부에 대한 영상 데이터를 생성하는 EIT 데이터 처리부 및 상기 호흡 관리부를 제어하되, 상기 주입되는 공기를 제어하고, 상기 제어된 공기에 따른 상기 생성된 영상 데이터 및 상기 수집된 호흡 파라미터를 정량화하여 상기 피험자의 수면 무호흡 정도를 측정하는 제어부를 포함할 수 있다.
