The present invention is related to an aqueous cleansing composition for keratin fibres, especially human hair, comprising starch derived cationic polymer and at least once sorbitan surfactant. Accordingly, present invention is on an aqueous cleansing composition for keratin fibres especially for human hair comprising starch derived cationic polymer, preferably an oxidized starch derived cationic polymer and at least one sorbitan surfactant.
