The present specification describes an endoscope tip having an illuminator window for covering an illuminator cavity holding an illuminator attached with a circuit board installed in the endoscope tip. The illuminator window has a rectangular shape with a distal long surface facing away from the illuminator, a proximal long surface facing towards the illuminator, and a first and a second side surface. The cavity has a first side wall positioned at a predefined distance from the first side surface of the window creating a first gap and a second side wall positioned at a predefined distance from the second side surface of the window creating a second gap.
