PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balloon catheter having a distal end part with improved flexibility, while giving proper rigidity to a portion where a balloon is formed.SOLUTION: The balloon catheter 10 includes an outside tube 15 and an inside tube 16. The inside tube 16 is provided to extend farther to the distal side than the outside tube 15. The balloon 13 is provided to cover the extended region from the outside. The inside tube 16 has an inside proximal tube 32 and an inside intermediate tube 33 formed to have lower rigidity than the inside proximal tube 32.
