Present embodiments are directed to a system and method capable of detectingand graphically indicating physiologicpatterns in patient data. For example, present embodiments may include amonitoring system that includes a monitor capableof receiving input relating to patient physiological parameters and storinghistorical data related to the parameters. Additionally,the monitoring system may include a screen capable of displaying thehistorical data corresponding to the patient physiologicalparameters. Further, the monitoring system may include a pattern detectionfeature capable of analyzing the historical data todetect a physiologic pattern in a segment of the historical data and capableof initiating a graphical indication of the segment on thescreen when the physiologic pattern is present in the segment.
