An apparatus for separating a volume of liquid compound into at least a first component, an intermediate component that includes a second component, and a third component, the volume of compound fluid contained in a bag being flexible separation (1) connected at least to a bag (2) of the first component and a bag (3) of the intermediate component, the apparatus comprising: a centrifuge having a rotor (35, 36, 37, 38) to rotate the separation bag (1); a clamping element (31, 54, 55) to crush the separation bag (1) and cause the transfer of at least a first portion of the first component from the separation bag (1) to the bag (2) of the first component and the transfer of the intermediate component from the separation bag (1) to the bag (3) of the intermediate component; a memory for storing at least one centrifugation rate that allows sedimentation of at least the first, the second and the third components in the separation bag (1), and information related to at least a first transfer rate of the first component to the bag (2) of the first component and at least a second transfer rate of the intermediate component towards the bag (3) of the intermediate component, the different being the least a first transfer rate and the at least a second transfer rate; and a programmed control unit (67): to receive from memory the at least one centrifugation rate and the information related to the at least a first transfer rate and the at least a second transfer rate; and to cause the rotor (35, 36, 37, 38) to rotate at least one spin speed; and to cause that, after sedimentation of the at least first, second and third components in the separation bag (1), the clamping element (31, 54, 55) crush the separation bag (1) to transfer the first portion of the first component from the separation bag (1) to the bag (2) of the first component at least a first transfer rate, whereby a second portion of the first component remains in the separation bag (1) ; to cause, after the transfer of
