PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric weeding machine which can efficiently perform work on a wide area, which does not require increase in the size of a motor, which can be used favorably even in a place where a user does not want to dig up the soil, which has excellent workability and in which soil, sand and dust hardly enter.SOLUTION: An electric weeding machine 10 includes: a motor 12 serving as a power source a driving force conversion mechanism 20 for converting a rotary driving force from the motor 12 into a reciprocating driving force in the front and back direction a housing 11 for storing the motor 12 and the driving force conversion mechanism 20 and a weeding blade 31 reciprocating frontward/backward by the reciprocating driving force acquired from the driving force conversion mechanism 20. Then, the weeding blade 31 is constituted by having one piece of tabular blade part I provided protrusively toward the front of the housing 11.
