PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus capable of efficiently obtaining large curving operation force and improving curving operability without enlarging an actuator.
SOLUTION: A curving part 15 provided in the distal end side area of an insertion part is provided with an actuator tube 20. The actuator tube 20 has a structure provided with a tube body 23 to be expanded when receiving the supply of a high pressure gas and non-flexible fibers 24 embedded in the tube body 23 for regulating the extension in the longitudinal direction of the tube body 23. When the high pressure gas is supplied to the tube body 23, the tube body 23 is expanded to the outer peripheral side, the extension of the tube body 23 is regulated by the non-flexible fibers 24 at the time and the entire length in the longitudinal direction is shortened. The curving part 15 is curved by the shortening in the longitudinal direction of the tube body 23.
