The present invention relates to intervertebral cages. The intervertebral cage according to the invention is essentially characterized in that it comprises a body 10 adapted to be interposed between two vertebrae V1, V2, this body having two faces 11, 12 and a side wall 13； at least one element 20； means for mounting the element in translation relative to the body 10 between a position P1 and a position P2, the position P1 being that in which the element is contained in the volume 14 and the position P2 being that in which at least one part 21 of the element 20 emerges from this volume, and means for controlling the translation of this element 20 between these two positions P1 and P2. La présente invention concerne les cages intervertébrales. La cage intervertébrale selon l'invention se caractérise essentiellement par le fait qu'elle comprend un corps 10 apte à être interposé entre deux vertèbres V1, V2, ce corps comportant deux faces 11, 12 et une paroi latérale 13 ； au moins un élément 20 ； des moyens pour monter l'élément en translation par rapport au corps 10 entre une position P1 et une position P2, la position P1 étant celle dans laquelle l'élément est contenu dans le volume 14 et la position P2 étant celle dans laquelle au moins une partie 21 de l'élément 20 émerge de ce volume, et des moyens pour commander le la translation de cet élément 20 entre ces deux positions P1 et P2.
