An inhaler (70) is disclosed comprising a housing which contains a strip of blisters (61). Each blister contains a dose of medicament and has a puncturable lid. The blisters are sequentially moved into alignment with a puncturing means to enable a user to inhale the dose. A spiral wound element (60) is disposed in the housing to receive the used portion of the strip (61). The spiral wound element (60) has an inner and outer surface with an outer end fixed to the housing and a winding that extends over 360 degrees. The leading end of the strip of blisters (61) enters the spiral wound element (60) between the inner and outer surface to cause the used portion to coil within it. The spiral wound element is resiliently deformable and gradually expands as the length of the strip coiled within it increases.
