PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device that effectively prevents the occurrence of noises.
SOLUTION: An image pickup device 100 based on this invention is provided with a light receiver 10 where a plurality of light receiving elements 11 are arranged, a microlens array 50 having a plurality of microlenses 51, and a light shielding layer 20 provided between the light receiver 10 and the microlens array 50. Here the light shielding layer 20 has openings 30 corresponding to the plurality of light receiving elements 11 respectively. The optical relationship among the actual opening width d1 of the opening 30 on the side of the light receiving elements of this opening 30, the actual length p of distance between adjacent microlenses 51, an air conversion length t0 for a distance between a vein 2001 and the apex of a microlens 51, and an air conversion length t1 for thickness between the apex of the microlens 51 and the position of the opening 30 on the side of its light receiver is: 1.36*t1/p&led1&le2.4*t1/p+p*t1/t0.
