The present invention provides technology for evaluating a nuclear medicine image of a head that is not easily influenced by differences in set reference areas. In general, an embodiment of the present invention includes the setting of a reference area in an area of a head nuclear medicine image corresponding to a scalp, the calculation of information relating to pixel values of the set reference area, and the use of the information to normalize and output the pixel values of each pixel included in the head nuclear medicine image or values determined from the pixel values.
