The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition and a food composition for preventing and treating inner ear damage, containing a subfraction of a Piper longum L. extract as an active ingredient. More specifically, the subfraction of the Piper longum L. extract is prepared by a method comprising the following steps: preparing a primary Piper longum L. extract by immersing Piper longum L. powder, obtained by washing, drying, and grinding Piper longum L., in an extractant and preparing the subfraction of the Piper longum L. extract by immersing the primary Piper longum L. extract in a mixed extractant of hexane and ethanol.
