The present invention relates to human gremlin-1 protein complexed with the determination and inhibition of human gremlin-1 protein. The invention also relates to the structure of human gremlin-1 (either on its own or as a complex with an antibody) and the use of such structure in the screening of agents that modulate gremlin-1 activity.
