PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image generator, an image generation method and a program thereof capable of acquiring four-dimensional CT images while suppressing the amount of exposure.

SOLUTION: This image generator 10 includes: a first image acquisition section 12 which acquires a plurality of first images acquired by sequentially capturing images of a subject in time series a second image acquisition section 14 which acquires a second image acquired by a different modality from that of the first images acquired by capturing the subject, and having no time-series information an image selection section 20 which calculates coincidence between the plurality of first images and the second image and selects a first image whose coincidence with the second image is a threshold or more or whose coincidence therewith is the highest among the plurality of first images a variation calculation section 22 which calculates an image variation among the plurality of first images, with the first image selected by the image selection section 20 used as a criterion and an image generation section 24 which generates a time-series image of the subject by changing the second image according to the image variation.
